It begins with a quiet welcome with a fresh hibiscus drink grown in the garden, followed by a free daily tour before sunset in which we explain the fruit trees, Pharaonic trees, and medicinal trees from ancient times.

The guest experiences all kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables, in addition to eating sugarcane, not just drinking it as usual.

Story time round the camp fire

In the evening, a session begins around the wood-burning stove to drink free mint tea for the guests and to explain the customs, traditions and social norms of the village and neighboring villages.

"Staying at Bedouin Lodge Luxor was one of the most meaningful experiences of our entire trip to Egypt. The lodge is a true refuge — quiet, calm, and completely removed from the constant noise and intensity that surrounds many places in the country.

What truly sets this place apart is Mohamed and every single person working at the lodge. The way they treat guests feels genuinely different from most local interactions we experienced elsewhere.

There was absolutely no pressure to book tours, buy experiences, or spend money through the accommodation. We were given space, time, and freedom, while always feeling supported whenever we needed help.

The food deserves a special mention: breakfasts and dinners were outstanding — without exaggeration, the best meals we had during our whole trip. In fact, on our last night in Luxor, we stayed at another place we had booked in advance, and still chose to travel 18 km just to come back and have dinner at the lodge.

"The only thing in Egypt we would do again and again.

Top accommodation option in Luxor. It is like an oasis in otherwise crazy Egypt. Mohamed and whole team (Ahmed...) made us feel very welcome.

The rooms, the garden, the orchard, reception area are all very simple and extremely nicely arranged.

The lodgings become "your second home" from the minute you enter. The dinner they cooked it's real, homemade Egyptian cousine and we enjoyed it very much.

We were also very happy with the tours they arranged for us.

I cannot say that there was anything wrong. There were some works going on in the new swimming pool (which looked gorgeous by the way) but everybody were so nice that it didn't bother us at all. I am a little envy of all of you who will enjoy in this pool ;-)"
